Circles of Support is a neighbor-to-neighbor inmate re-entry support program for men and women leaving incarceration and returning to the La Crosse community. This program works in coordination with the Restorative Justice Task Force to provide support to inmates who are committed to breaking their cycle of recidivism. The program, launched in 2009 as a Restorative Justice Task Force action, is a focus of Compassionate Community Faith Alliance.
Circles of Support offers motivated men and women a pathway back into connection with their own personal hopes and dreams for their life...and action to bring that vision to life. Circles of Support offers community members the opportunity to experience transformative relationships that build compassion into our community and empower those who have fallen out of community to bring their strengths, talents, and unique gifts back into play as productive citizens. Circles of Support is a part of a local network of agencies and organizations who work together to reverse the trend of skyrocketing incarceration which escalates costs without increasing the safety of the community, or the success of the inmates. |
